The NHLPA Hockey series quickly faded away in the light of the incredibly popular and well-made NHL franchise. Did it ever have a chance against the hockey juggernaut?
Game Arts crafted a graphic adventure that is sure to please fans of the classic cartoon on which it's based thanks to some great comedy and some of the best animation on the Sega CD. Anime and manga fans will enjoy seeing Lum and friends come to the Mega CD in smart and quirky adventure. Don't let the language barrier keep you away from what is one of the best games of its type.

Sega's answer to Tetris never got the level of attention it should have. Games in the series are sparse and spread over many different platforms, and some, like Columns Crown, are about as far off from the original title as possible. They say variety is a good thing, but does that apply to classic puzzle franchises? Read on and see.

Cyborg 009 falls squarely in the middle of the road due to uninspired gameplay and an overall lack of a creative spark. So much could have been done to bring Shotaro Ishinomori's classic manga to life, but Riot squandered the chance.

Coming to America as World Championship Soccer, World Cup Italia '90 originally saw a release in Europe, where it featured a few differences from its U.S. counterpart. Aside from some realistic player names (and a new title and box art, obviously), it also boasts an official FIFA license, something the American version lacked. Primitive when compared to EA's efforts, it can still be fun with a friend.

All the notoriety aside though, is it actually a good game? Well... no. Awkward gameplay fails to mesh with grainy video, creating an experience that's ultimately unsatisfying. The 32X version at least had cleaner video, but this release doesn't even have that going for it.
