Open cartridge

Well everytime I get a new game Mega Drive/N64/NES I clean it 100%. Well in the week I got Alterd Beast for the Mega Drive. Well I wanted to open up the game and clean it. It didnt work like for all my other Mega Drive games. When I tried to open it (I had removed the screws on the back) it was solid as rock. Looked like it was glued together or something.
So I wonder how I should open it.
Just use brutal force?

try slipping a fine blade through the spot where it should open up. works for me when there stuck together.

Well you can't open up Japanese Games, you just have to clean them a diffenet way

What? Japanese games open with only a standard phillips screwdriver. They are hidden underneath the sticker. Anyway, the Altered Beast cartridge has probably rotted shut. Pry it open with a small slotted-head screwdriver. Be careful.

I usually just use a cotton swap dabbed with alcohol to wipe the connectors if it doesn't work. There really isn't much need to clean inside the cart.

It came a crack on it when I tried to open it. I think I leave this one closed.

Use an air chisel or better yet a sledgehammer.

Yeah, use a sledgehammer. Altered Beast is pretty cheap so it wouldn't hurt to ruin the case on this copy. Don't you want to know what's inside it? ;)

First you gotta get all the powerup orbs, only then can you open it.
