Just bought the game budokan and it had a EA box ive never seen before. Its bigger than the normal EA boxes and made out of soft plastic with a hole for the manual. Reminds me of the old c64 boxes.

First time ive seen this kind of box. It feels really neat.

where there any more games that came with this box?

Oh, and its a fighting game. So its missing from the Genre Spotlight: Fighter Frenzy!

It's funny how, right under the big SEGA MEGA DRIVE logo, it says "for play on the Sega Mega Drive".

It looks like an old Disney VHS box to me. Except I think the Disney boxes are usually white. I bet Populous comes in the same thing because it was released at the same time as Budokan. Here in the US we got crappy paper boxes.

Yep, you're right.

Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in!

Didn't Zany Golf come in a box like that?

I used to love Best of the Best Championship Karate. I was so young and impressionable.

Zany Golf came out right after Populous and Budokan, so it is possible. The first EA game in the US in a plastic box was Road Rash (I think).
