As a matter of fact this topic was not so much created for discussion about this wonderful game (although I'm perfectly open to fellow fans joining me in a rant about it) but to inform you all that on Shining Force Central the first official Shining Force 3 translation patch has been released. Admittedly it's only for the PD and still needs people to test it out.
The rest of the project marches onwards... I just thought I'd let those interested know the news. Check out SFC for further updates, or just wait for me to update the thread when there's been one.

Wow, this is GREAT news. Hopefully someone will make it so you can play Saturn games without a modchip, even though they are cheap and pretty easy to install.

As to be expected the Sc.2 transaltion project is taking much longer... but this will tide us over while we wait. And in case I wasn't clear in my first post, yes the patch with intructions is availble for download at SFC.
Wait, so I need to burn the game and add this patch, like the Ys translations? I don't have a modded Saturn. :(

Mod chips aren't that expensive, and are pretty easy to install, with that said, I still don't have a Saturn mod chip.

Yeah well I found the Pro Action Replay to be a better choice than the mod chip originally. Mainly because I'm a technical dunce, but hey we all have our faults. And this is still great stuff anyway. Playing the other two scenarios in English is worth whatever we have to do. It sure beats reading from a script. My only question is if one or two of the dumbmer things that are said in the game, "I smell of sewage" anyone?, will be edtted at all.
I mean no big deal if they aren't because I'll still be ecstactic but this is just great.
The PAR lets you play imports, but not burned CD-Rs, if I'm not mistaken. To use this patch, you're going to have to burn the game with it installed and play the CD-R.

*Shrug* Still a better option than never seeing it in English. Oh and just a slightly different question here: Does anyone know of somebody who didn't like this game? Because seriously I've only found two categories of people, the ones who love it and the ones who've never heard of it. And that's never happened to me with any game before.
