Will Granada work on a megadrive?

I am eyeing a cheap copy of Granada, the japanese cartridge. I know that it was probably made before the TMSS was around, like Thunder Force III was. I also know that japanese games have a tendancy to work on european megadrives.

Will I need anything barring a honey bee cart to play it?

The game has World country code, so yes it will work. But use a game genie as a physical cart adaptor -- the cart won't fit in the console.
