It makes me wonder what kind of a collection this individual bidder has already. These are the kind of items for which one goes at the very end, once one's collection is nearly complete. I wonder, indeed.

Its odd to see anything Sega ,minus Snatcher and PZS, go for so much.

What a waste of money.
Word.. I think I'd rather just paint 'Sega' on my regular ghetto power strips and be set.

I guess it's for all the huge ass power adapters for the Gen, CD, and 32x.

The title of this post says it best: This is indeed madness!
$101.00 for a SEGA power strip without the original box or the inserts is way too much. And judging by the condition of the SEGA power strip as depicted in the photographs, it is severely scratched up!
I believe the starting price was set at US $24.99. As a SEGA collector, I personally would not spend more than $15.00 for an item in this poor condition.
It cost so much because of the protective Blast Processing shielding and those of us without this special power strip are in danger of blowing ourselves up everyday. $101 is a small price to pay for something so powerful.

What a waste of money.
I couldn't find anything similar for love nor money when I needed to plug in my Megadrive, MegaCD and 32X. I ended up buying a power squid (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-PowerSquid-SPR4500-Connector-Kingdom/dp/B000YI9YF0/ref=sr_1_1) which takes up too much space when all I want to do is plug in two or three power bricks.

But there are power strips that are spaced for such things nowaday.

im quite liking the power squid although it does look like it might slither upstairs and strangle me during the night..that is if it could drag its powerbrick laden feet up the stairs.
and yus, yus this is a waste of money...but for collectors how often do you encounter one of these?

I have one of those I bought back when it was new. It works well for a bunch of power bricks, but I certainly wouldn't pay that much for one.
Check out the Classic Game Room review of it: http://www.classicgameroom.com/sega-power-strip-hardware-review.html

That's funny. I still have mine hooked up to my Gen/CD/32X combo. I bought it new when they first came out. It still works to this day.
