Need help finding a Sega Genesis game

I had a Sega Genesis in the early 90's and it had a game that I can't seem to find anywhere. I don't remember the name and I have found no pics for it either.

It was about a Knight, but it wasn't Ghouls & Ghosts, this knight would travel through the trees picking up satchels and stuff. He had to find colored keys which opened up colored doors to enter the tree trunks. I think his armor changed colors, but I am not too sure. It was a side-scrolling game and also not a role-play.

I had this game around 1992, when I also had Ghostbusters and Golden Axe.

Sounds a lot like Wizards and Warriors for the NES actually.

That's what I was thinking. But my unfamiliarity with that game made me not post.

Sounds like that, yes. That was a very fun game. I have Wizards and Warriors X for my game boy. Yes, X. That means they made 9 others before it. Which is strange as I have only heard of 1, 2 and 10.

calia386, if it is indeed Wizards & Warriors that you remember (and it certainly sounds like it), there are another three games in the franchise to look into. Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II and Wizards & Warriors III - Kuros: Visions of Power for NES, and as Kikoskia mentioned, ol' Wizards & Warriors X: Fortress of Fear for Game Boy. They're all good, worthwhile games.
