it's a light gun game by konami, it doesn't work with the menacer. I don't really like the game, and I only have it because it came with my Model 1 Sega CD when I opened the tray.

You don't need those - they're useless. Nobody's ever reported a problem from using a 32X without them.

I dunno. My 32x has picture (specifically) color problems when used with my X'Eye. I was told by someone that if I had those shields, the problem would be fixed. Something to do with how close the 32x sits to the Genesis, and resulting interference. Or something.

I have Megadrive Model 1, TMSS, not HDG, the pins are bent backwards are the cartridges don't fit in, easy fix really, just bend the pins so the cartridges fit I guess, or maybe it's totally knackered, i'm not expereinced enough to know (don't want to rip you off tbh)

The console isnt in excellent condition, it's a bit scuffed and the white has yellowed badly, the LED doesnt work either

I wasn't able to get either of these to work, but perhaps you can! There's no obvious damage to the boards, so maybe they just need a new resistor (?) or something similar.

These are just the boards, no cart shells included, though I think I have the label for Pit Fighter hanging around somewhere (I removed it before recycling the shell for my Everdrive). Comix Zone came in a mangled shell which I used as a test run for my Everdrive case. You can have that too, if you want it.

Mostly just exists for RF shielding requirements. My model 1 setup works just fine without a mounting plate.

Does anyone have any Genesis Model 1 RF adaptors lying around? I need to hook my Genesis (that doesn't have built in RF) up to an old TV that doesn't have RCA so I can't use my composite cable. US & Canada is preferred (in fact, probably necessary since it has to be NTSC), and I'll cover the cost of postage and even throw in a few bucks extra if necessary.

note: Apologies for posting in the "Giveaway" thread, but I do not yet have enough posts to create a topic and there is no generic pinned buy/sell thread in this forum.

you could use a nintendo brand RF switch (for NES or SNES) and it should work with the model 1 Genesis.

I'm not sure an RF switch would work, since that's designed for consoles that have an RF output on the back. My Genesis (which is a Japanese Megadrive 1) doesn't have that, it just has the DIN connector.

ah, got it. I misread your post.

IF you have a 32x to model 1 adapter, you could use that and then connect a model 2 RF switch to that.... kinda convoluted, but I think that would work.

Interesting idea, though at that point I may as well just get a universal RF modulator with Composite input. I was hoping to find an RF adaptor that someone wasn't using to save a few bucks but I guess they don't exist for the model 1?

I think only RF switches for the built in RF output were made for the model 1. I didn't even know they made genesises (or mega drives) without RF.

Qjimbo. I tried to message you, but you must have disabled that. I think I have an RF for a model 1. I remember plugging it in to play the model 1 and the picture was hella blurry. The tv sucks and is always blurry so I don't know if it was the system, the RF, or the tv. Enable your messaging and send me a message.

I think it's because I'm still a new member, it all looks like it should be enabled. Anyway in the end I just got a cheap Composite -> RF modulator on Amazon for $8, thanks for the offer though!
