I never liked the whole 'Pop Idol' sensation and we have it much more then you; we british created reality TV with Big Brother and we made Pop Idol so they could both spread the world and plague it.

I also don't like reality TV. It's dull and frankly, the whole term in contradictory.

One can never monitor reality, for it is written, especially in science, that as soon as you start to monitor something, you already alter the results. Placing a group of people in a house and telling them there are cameras, then making them do stupid tasks isn't reality at all, it's just like a three ring circus with all the contestants sucking up and playing larger then life to win a shred of short-lived fame.

And the whole 'insert name here' idol thing never really caught my eye. Yes, the first time they truly would have found talent, but the second time? And the third? What happens is they then have to accept people they formerly rejected and each new incarnation of the show makes them scrape the bottom of the barrel even more.

I never really watched Idol either, but still watched the auditions for the usual laugh. That's when I first heard Chris sing. From that first appearance I said he would win, and have been supporting ever since. He's the only reason I watch, even though Taylor's awesome too.

Update: Chris just signed an offical contract with the Idol producers, making the show's top prize slightly less spectacular. Not that it matters, Chris was better than that show, and he showed it every week.

LIES! Big Brother was a Dutch show, before Channel 4 copied the format and screened a UK version when reality TV really was the 'next big thing'. It's not our fault, I swear!

As for Pop Idol: someone please shoot Simon Cowell.
