The site is a 16 bit haven for Sega, that is true. However, I always remembered the Game Gear being 16 bit also.
I am gauging interest in trying to get game gear reviews and articles on the site. I know most people don't have a game gear (I am currently trying to haggle one off my sister) but I feel that with some effort we could get something really good going and we could expand on the wonder that is Sega-16 and make it even more a haven for 16 bit sega gaming.

I'm pretty sure Game Gear was 8-bit, it was basicly a portable Master System with a few more colors.

Heh, well that would be me just being stupid if that is so. :p Nevermind.

Yes, the Game Gear is 8-bit. Its actually a portable Master System with more colors which is why several games were easily ported back and forth between the Master System and Game Gear.

Man, I'd have been all about helping with a series of Game Gear reviews, I had one as a kid and loved it.

It'd be great if Sega-16 could expand to cover the 8-bit systems with reviews and articles with similiar caliber to the MD-related ones. SMSPower doesn't really cover any of that.

They are working on it, it just takes time. Give Sega8bit.com a try. :)

The Sega Game Gear not only had more colors, but stereo sound as well. Everyone always forgets about that. Looking at the Game Gear games, it was hard for me to notice any actual colors.

I'd be all for it if I knew what you were referring to.
