You read it right. my nephew just got all three pieces of sega history, all but the 32x to model 1 cable. So if you have a spare I need it.

good luck, that thing is usually twice the amount a 32x goes for, although thats not saying much since thats usually 5$...

Do you (or anyone else) know where to get one? Sega-parts.com didn't have one. I'd pay more than $5 dollars for it.

I dont think its possible to find one anywhere. and if you do they'd prolly just scam you for extra money. You best bet is to try to make your own connections using some wiring you have. I couldnt get it to work for the gen 1 but it worked hella good on my gen 2.

Found an interesting auction at the former Swedish and now eBay-owned Tradera:

http://www.tradera.com/auction/aid_31242997

Important part says translated: "If you have a AV-cable for Mega Drive model I you can plug it to this converter and use it to Mega Drive model II and vice versa".

Now for my questions: I only have one conversion cable for the model I to my 32X, so I'm forced to play in RF since I cannot use my model I AV/RGB/SCART/whatever cable to the 32X. Is it possible to use this converter between the 32X A/V out and the model I AV/RGB/SCART/whatever cable? Because the 32X A/V holes are the same as the model II A/V hole, aren't they? And do you know any place where I can get this one cheaper? 75 Swedish Kronor is $10.

Looks like it, if it supports RGB. Of course you can easily just buy a model 2 RGB SCART cable on eBay or somewhere. They're not expensive, usually around $15 or so. They are worth it, so don't get cheap!

I'll try this little thing out. Otherwise I'll buy a model II RGB SCART.
