Both of them are platformers, both not released in Europe. I have only been able to get my gaming chunk from them thanks to emulators (I doubt there are any game genie codes for making them work on PAL). Short of getting a Mega Key or modding my megadrive, I won't be able to do it.
But what is everyone elses experiences with these games. I find Tinhead to be a very visually rich game and it's music to be very catchy. Socket doens't manage the speed it tries so hard to get, but it still has very fast music that helps give the illusion of great speed. I find both games also have quite nice mechanics, especially Tinhead with the attack methods it opens up for the player.

Tinhead wasn't released in Europe? What the hell? It was made by Microprose UK. In the UK. Which is like, part of Europe.

No wait...
On closer inspection, Tinhead WAS released in Europe, according to the master list.
HOWEVER, as of yet, I haven't found a single copy of it that is european. Ever. eBay doesn't have one and it never has as far as I remember. Five months without a single copy of a game appearing in Europe if it was released there is not a common sight at all.

According to Guardiana, Tinhead wasn't released in Europe. However, Socket will work in a PAL Megadrive, it has a world country code.
Test a game on an emulator and set the region to europe to test. :)

I agree about Tinhead. Also the attack mechanics are cool, albeit a bit frustrating, and the game is quite repetitive.
Didn't care much for Socket however. It's just a sonic wannabe.

I thought Tinhead was alright if a bit repetitive (especially in the music department). Socket's gameplay is a bit choppy and it definitely tries to rip too much off from Sonic, but that music is great! I don't know why Socket can't be as smooth as Decapattack (which stars Chuck D. Head, by the way) since it was made by the same people.
