Threadpost transplant of OHNOS:
... I'm also wondering about Sonic Wild-Fire ...
This is the Wii game, yes? I don't trust the Sonic community any more for news regarding the nextgen Sonic games (screams of SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG IS GTA WITH SONIC'S CLONE LOLOLO kind of ruined that), and the Wikipedia articles get fagged up every five minutes with idiots spamming 'CRAP CRAP CRAP' etc (same people? who knows).
What's happening regarding the 360/PS3 game (which I probably won't buy as I have no 360 or the desire at all to get a PS3) and the Wii game (a possibility if the console's as cheap as Big N announced - £100-ish)? Non-spoilered plot, screens, videos?

you can go to gametrailers.com for gameplay vids of both games.
although you'll need to use the search feature.
the PS3 and 360 games will be almost exactly the same,
so there shouldn't be any worries about there being a better version.
the new 2D sonic on PSP involves Takeshi Iizuka in some capacity. . .so I don't exactly have too many hopes for it.

Yes, Wild-Fire is a Wii exclusive that takes advantage of the controller.

Wildfire is going to be pure, 16-bit-era sex. Yes, it's rail-based, but it's strictly built for speed, loops, and crazy stunts. All with the inherent fun of the Wiimote!
Sonic The Hedgehog 360/PS3?
Well...did you like Sonic Adventure?
...how much?

Rail-based I can handle. Not sure about flinging my arms around like an angry hardcore kid at a Pure Blood concert, though. Hah.

Very, very much. Very much indeed.

Okay, then you should be alright with both of them. The Wiimote is sensitive enough to just react to wrist movements or more subtle hand gestures, and you'll spend most of your time steering.
As far as the 360/PS3 version goes, if you liked Sonic Adventure you're fine. All the preliminary reviews say it's going to be a slightly streamlined version of SA1, and even though there's secondary characters, you'll be Sonic MOST of the time.
I liked Sonic Adventure a whole lot too, don't get me wrong.
Oh, and gold star for the hardcore-dancing joke. I'm in a ska band, however; I'm in no place to poke fun. ;)

I dunno, Sega seems pretty adamant in most articles about keeping the two seperate. I don't think I'd like playing a more free-roaming Sonic game with the Wiimote, anyway.

You could always just use the cubes regular controller. And like the song says "money changes everything".
