sega cdx b&w problem

alright, i have a sega cdx and it is still in almost mint condition. this afternoon i was playing sonic 2 and some others. but in sonic 2 the screen turned black and white for about 3 secs.but when we played sonic 3d it was fine. then in streets of rage, for half a second the music sort of slurred.we diconnected and felt the bottom of it and it was very hot. so i,m wondering if it's just the heat of the system or something else. and the temp in my house is around 80 degrees so i couldn't have fried it.

i'm playing my cdx with all the cords it came with so i'm not playing with a crappy 3rd party cords

Well it sounds like the cords could have a short or the connector is faulty. But it could be the fault of the TV you have it hooked up to or the chroma encoder inside the CDX itself. Hard to say.

well i think it's my tv because when i play it on my tv in my room the games have a small buzz in the background. and you do have to consider the fact of over heating because we played sor for 2 hrs. then played sonic 2 for a half-hour then got this problem

and the cdx never did this before and i've had it for 11 months. i have like 5 consoles hooked up to one tv.

PHEW...... my cdx was just over heated. there's no damage done to it
