Once, I went into my local Gamestation. I was intent on not spending money there when I saw Normy's Beach Babe-O-Rama there for about £4. I knew it was rare so I got that and two other games, totally £13, knowing I couldn't buy anymore games all that week.

Imagine my surpise when the man at the till says they are priced wrong. Imagine it when they were actualyl £1.50 each... And then imagine my suprise when they are also buy one, get one free! So I end up snapping up another two games, totally £5.75 for five games (one wasn't in the offer)

:D And that's the extent of my luck in shops.

I got a model 1 Genesis attached to a model 1 Sega CD (both working perfectly) for $7. They make for nice spares.

Model 2 genesis with a model 2 cd missing the cd power cord, with 3 games, including vay, sewer shark and something else for $10CAD or at the time $7US. The CD unit had a blown fuse I managed to fix myself.

Errr...uhh...I found Wing Commander for a dollar once, it still had the receipt from a Babbage's in Dearborn tucked into the manual.

That's kinda the extent of my awesome Sega finds.

It's a shame Gamestation aren't very lively when it comes to MegaDrives games anymore. Just a few years ago there was usually many to be found, now just a basket with about 4 games :(

Finding Snatcher for £2.99 at GameStation. It has the front and back cover of the manual missing, but apart from that it's fine!

That's incredible! I always suspected Gamestation staff opened up eBay to price up their retro stuff :p

I think the best find I got at that shop was the entire Strike series (Desert, Jungle, Urban, Soviet) for a tenner thanks to the BOGOF deal.

edit wait this isn't the haul thread >_<

The best thrift store finds I have ever had were a real Famicom, a top Loader Nes, and Power Strike in near mint condition.

About 1 month ago I found an unopened Final Fantasy for NES. It was $4.99 at ARC thrift. Now I just need a total nerd collector to give me $100 for it.

I'll give you $120 for it. Oh wait, no I won't. Maybe I'll give you Snatcher for it. Hmmm.... Final Fantasy is a lot better than Snatcher, right? Hmmm... maybe not.

Dave White

nope. Final Fantasy is not better than Snatcher. But to someone else it probably is better. I just need to find that person and do business with them.
