They've been given quite a bad rap by gamers and to this day, and mere mention of them can still provoke anger and frustration among the Sega faithful. They are full-motion video games, and they are among the most disliked genres around. Why? What earned them the ire and wrath of gamers everywhere? To find out, Sega-16 takes a look into this much-maligned group of games in our latest feature The Rise & Fall of Full-Motion Video (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Rise%20and%20Fall%20of%20FMV.htm). Enjoy!

I find it odd that there could have been a 'rise' at all.
Even when this stuff was new I quickly started to wonder how a person would PLAY these games.

Some of them are actually fun little games. I wish people would have more of an open mind.

The best use of FMV was probably in the Command & Conquer games. In other games it usually just felt unneccesary.
