If there's one thing gamers can't stand, it's a deal just beyond reach at a garage sale because of a demanding seller. We all know him: that owner who just refuses to haggle and is willing to not make a sale at all rather than come down a few bucks. What do you do in that situation? Why, you take matters into your own hands and fight to the death for the goods! The newest entry (http://www.sega-16.com/forum/../Stories%2010.htm) in our popular fan fiction series Stories from the Book of Genesis has one such case. Read on and see what it really means to find games "in the wild!"

I've had a lot of experiences where I find games that I want which aren't partcularily rare that people want an arm and a leg for. Sometimes I can get them to haggle by hinting out loud to whoever I'm with that I could get it for less on ebay, sometimes it's just not worth it. On the other hand I wind up with some sweet deals on those rarities which the hunt is all about.

You win a cookie for referencing Tek War, Mr. Thornburg.

How much of all that is fictional? I notice you didn't list the games that came with the systems. But hey, great tale anyway.

A couple things are real, like the ripping off the nun part. The christmas decorations part happened too; but everything else was fiction.

BTW, I actually had a list of games written that was in the box, but then I realized that this whole thing was getting a bit long, and it just didn't fit, so it worked better if I just said the games existed, instead of a list of every title.

So did you actually get the stuff from the guy or did you leave?

Yeah, that's what I was wondering.

I loved the 'sword fight' bit.

IRL the sale didn't exist. In the story, it says I picked up the boxes and put them in the truck.
