I never played Street Fighter II back in the day, but I've been playing Super Street Fighter on the Genesis recently, and I can't combo worth anything. A two hitter is about as good as I can pull off, and a three-hitter is pushing it. Can someone help me out in this regard? Any help would be appreciated.

Well Street Fighter II was before Capcom designed their games for the soul purpose of creating infinite combos so don't expect it to come naturally. It's just something you have to work at.

My idea of combos was jump kick down, then ducking spin kick, then uppercut. Then again. Then again.

I never did play that game right.

I could never do the dragon punch from the left side of the screen, so don't feel so bad. :)

Definitely don't feel bad, as doing a move facing one way is often much easier than facing the other. It just has to do with the orientation of your thumb on the pad. It is usually easier to rotate it precisely one way over another.

It's a relief to know that other people have direction-specific problems. I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't DP in both directions equally well.

Does anyone have links to the famous TZW combo videos? Those might help me.

I have a nack for button mashing my way into combos especially with ken and ryu, i can do all their special moves and combo them. Since I am a button masher though I usually get owned.

Is this the same as the Street Fighter II Mastering Great Combinations & Strategies For Street Fighter II Turbo™ / Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition™ VHS video? I put a torrent link in the attached zip file, but I've had bad luck when trying to create a torrent the handful of times I've tried. Lemme know if it works or not -- the video is really cheesy, but it does a surprisingly good job of covering fighting tips for each character.

Thanks - I don't have time to torrent it right now, but I will in a day or two.
