To me the Genesis 2 is extremely ugly, beaten only by the Master System 2 which is even uglier. The Genesis 2 and 3 just don't seem like "real" Genesises to me.

When I got my model two systems they where fility so I took the tops off and gave them a bath. It looks a lot better, but it could use another one because it is dirty again. D'oh!

I think the inverse is true - the model 2 Mega-CD seems to look good no matter what's on the other end of its edge connector. The model 1 looks like a fat chick on a chair, with a 'So?' expression. The model 2's more like a raven-haired 'bad girl' lying on the bedcovers and smoking. Who only has one big red pointy nipple XD

I take the top off of the model 2 and give it a bath -- no really, that'll clean it up real good. The model 2 I just bought was fility, and rubbing alcohol didn't work too good.

How do you take the top of the model 1? The power button is well, kind of stuck on, how do you remove it?

Also, the model 1 Sega CD had zero knobs and/or buttons. The model 2 takes up too much space, especially when hooked to a model 1 Genesis.

After owning both I prefer Model 1 CD with any Genesis. the model 2 CD just makes everything so wide even with the genesis 2. Not a fan model 2 and when I was a kid I wanted it so bad since my 32x didnt match up with my original genesis.

When I finally get a Mega CD i'll have a model 1 MD and model 1 MCD setup which i think is the best, a model 1 MD, model MCD and 32X doesn't look that bad either.
