I am thinking about getting a Power Base Converter (that thing that lets you play Sega Master System games on the Sega Genesis). But I heard that it wont work on a Genesis 2 system. After looking at the Wikipedia entry on the Sega Genesis, it said: "One can remove the PBC casing, allowing it to work on a Genesis 2."
What is PBC casing? And how do I remove it?
Any information would be apreciated thanks in advance! :)

The PBC casing is the black plastic that surrounds the inner circuit board. So basically if you took it off and pluged it into your genesis, you'd have your genesis with a circuit board sticking out of the cart slot. Sort of like if you were to remove the plastic casing from Sonic and Knuckles.
As for how to remove it, I'm not really sure. I'd guess that there are probably just a few screws holding it on.

Remove it with a saw. Or get the PBC 2 (only released in Europe and very rare) which was made for the MD2. But you can't play card/3d-glasses games with it.

I tried to use the PowerBase converter with the Genesis 2 using a GameGenie to make it fit, hoping I didnt have to just open the converter. Could not get it to work, tough.
