sounds like fun gonna have to pick this game up real soon :D
It's Batman video game based on the first movie?
I keep seeing Batman Returns but that game isn't as good. I will need to keep my eye out on the first one.

Bad game. Not worth it.
I realize I'm the only person in the world with that opinion. =)

It's like a slow, bad combination of platforming and street brawling.

I loved this game. Is much more related to the movie than the NES version. I loved the batwing and batmobile scenes.
Graphics are GOOD. Too bad this game got a delayed USA release because of nintendo´s monopolistic rules back in the early 90´s (any developer had to wait 3 years before releasing a game for another console, if that game was available for a nintendo system).
This is a GOOD game, believe me. I give it a SOLID 8/10 points.

I think the NES version is better than the Genesis version but believe me, Sunsoft made both versions very well.
What hurts the Genny version is its very simplistic controls and play. What helps it is the gfx, soundtrack, and schmup levels. And it isn't hella hard like the NES version (which reminds me more of the Ninja Gaiden series).

It's cool how Sunsoft made completely different soundtracks for the NES, MD and GB versions, and they all sound just as great.

I LOVE the NEs version too. However it isnt completely base in the movie, like the genesis version. Where are the batwing scenes? wheres the museum scene?.
NES game is great, however the genesis version is more faithful to the movie.
BOTH are A+ games!
The only think I didn't like about the Genesis version was that it was too short. Great game otherwise.

This isn't a bad game. It's just that the enemies are so generic compared to Batman on the NES. The grappling hook is nice though.

It's not bad, but definitely not 10/10. I prefer the NES version.
Why hello there, thread necro.

Basic gameplay, too classic or its own good, but awesome music and looks to match the movie, as a whole a good game better even if you´re a Batman fan.
Easly the best Batman game on the system IMO.

Batman (Sunsoft) on Genesis is easily one of the best Batman games ever made. Its shooter/vehicle levels, music, flip mechanic, and music establishes it as one of the best Batman games ever made.

Batman was the first game I ever rented for my old Genesis back in the day and I loved everything about it. It's too bad we didn't see more Batman games released for the Saturn or any for the Dreamcast.

I don't know. I think Adventures of Batman and Robin on Genesis and on SNES are better games than this was, granted they were made 3-4 years after Sunsoft's Batman. The controls and level design are good, but the enemies are so underwhelming and the gameplay itself leaves something to be desired. I'll give it this though: It's better than Batman Returns and Batman Forever and Revenge of the Joker.

Speaking of this game, does anyone know why it got such a tiny case?

There was a Batman game for Saturn titled "Batman Forever: The Arcade game." I rather enjoyed that port!

i have this game - both CIB PAL release and a loose copy of my original JP version, lost the box somewhere though - i'd forgotten it was in that small case!!
i remember playing this when i was sent home from school because of the snow / weather (the heating went) - took me 2 hours to walk home and spent the rest of the day playing this and ghouls and ghosts...hehe :)
those little diddy boxes were hella_dope!!

I remember my mind being blown when I saw that the ISO for that game is literally something like 8 megabytes.
