I saw that recently. I love how Japan is mostly pedophiles and rapists. I love how they never show a woman enjoying sex. They are always in pain. I love how American geeks love Japan sooo much. The View is an insipid TV program that is on US TV. Only fat women like it. It has nothing to do with Japan. Japanese TV is more like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-19ioGniZ88&search=japan%20nigger).

When I was a kid I always thought Japan was great, but unlike everyone who just woreships them, I actually looked into Japan, and I was not impressed. Now I'm not defending Japan, but I read they have like next to no rape. I bet you love their car's too, Joe. LOL

The only things from Japan I really like are the live action super hero shows and their music, video games, and that's it. I listen to a lot of J-music, but then again I'll listen to music from any country.

For the record, not every asian women is hot. And I'm not huge on japanese cars these days. My tastes changed. Who knows, in a few years all american geeks tastes will change -- they might find themselves hating Japan.

I dislike how people will go out of their way to say Japanese whatever is better than any other country's alternative, or that something is great just because it's Japanese. (These are usually the Nintendo/FF diehards, coincedentally. And anime nuts. I like *good* anime, but I haven't gone so far as to defend Japan rabidly because anime originates there.)

So basically, I like some things from Japan, like certain bands, animes, and games - and I think that in many ways they have a better sense of aesthetics (sp?) than we do - but in general I don't care any more about them than anyone else.

And they're pretty weird (read = perverted) in many ways.

It's a country like any other. I'm intensely jealous of the way they seem to have their electronic systems sorted - something like an average of 10MBit+ broadband access, mobile phone technology years ahead of ourse, and so on - but I guess they hardly wish to advertise their faults.

Although I think their game shows are awesome, I love Takeshi's Castle :D

Because it's culturally unnacceptable to be fat in Japan unless you're a Sumo wrestler, much worse than it is in the United States. In Japan it's not considered rude to call someone fat and overweight in public and most Japanese doctors will tell lean, fit people they need to lose weight.

I know a girl with parents who lived in Japan all their lives but she was born and raised here. They went to Japan once to visit other family and she came back traumatized with how f-ed up the country is in her opinion. I guess what's expected of the women especially is pretty unrealistic sometimes and a lot of things in Japan just don't make any sense at all to us and sometimes I'm not sure if it makes sense to them.

As far as electronics go, we invent them in the West, they supe them up and make them smaller in the East.

Better video games? That's subjective. I enjoy a lot of Western developers and their titles to a great degree but I've had that arguement before so I'm not getting indepth. The games, like the cultures, are different and I love them both for different reasons.

Japan also gave me giant robots, and I owe them dearly for that.

I don't know what all the Japan worship is about. It's just a lot of people without identities trying to find one for themselves just like any other type of subculture. Japan is weird and different so they try to adopt it as their own. I find that most people who end up visiting Japan for extended periods of time don't have the same opinion about it when they leave, especially because Japan is so xenophobic and dislikes foreigners though they tolerate you as long as you're leaving.

There's another video on youtube somewhere that shows an actual Japanese news forcast talking about the crisis of "American Otaku" invading Japan and displayed them in a very negative light. That's what Japan thinks of all the worship, they don't like it either though they shouldn't complain because it's making them a lot of money.
