My wife is a fiend for everything Mario and Kirby. She's currently enjoying Mario Pinball and is anxiously awaiting my purchase of a DS lite so she can confiscate it to play Super Princess Peach and New Super Mario Bros.

She also plays Mario Kart with me, but that's about it. She's mostly into platformers.

I got my colleague hooked Sonic 2. Although she never manages to get past the first couple of stages, she DID get her nieces into 16-bit platformers.
