Greetings,

I recently purchased a Genesis Model 3. It works great but Ex Mutants will not work on the system. To be more specific no characters appear during gameplay. I've heard VR racing is not compatible with the Genesis 3 are there others?

I have my eye on a few other games I want but I'm worried they won't work on the model 3 like Ex Mutants.

Thanks for any advice:?

I don't know about Ex Mutants, but yeah, there a select few Genesis games that don't work on a Model 3.

Maybe more...

Also no:

Game Genie
Any Sega Master System game converters
Sega CD

Not sure about the menacer or activator.

I wouldn't worry too much about missing out on Ex Mutants. It's pretty much a turd of a game all the way around.

I adore the Genesis 3 because of its small size and decent video quality that doesn't have the rainbow banding syndrome. However, I rely on my model 1 for maximum compatability. Didn't know many other games that didn't work on it besides Gargoyles and VR Racing, though.

I like it too because of its small size and its 6 button controller comes standard. I'm just a little bummed about Ex-Mutants not working. I wish I would have kept my model 1 on hand as well.

Naw, it's not that bad. I think if the property had been a bit more well known and/or popular it wouldn't receive half the criticism it gets today. There are lots of other worse games out there that people gush over that leave me scratching my head.

Nah man, my dislike of Ex Mutants has nothing to do with the property. The game looks, sounds and plays ugly. The level design is, imo, both uninspired and confusing. And it's just boring to play. I tried for about 15 minutes to really give it a chance but yeah. I have so many superior games that it really is just a waste of time.

It's not a terrible game, but it's barely mediocre. I own like 60 + Genesis games, and every single one of them is better than this one.
