View Full Version : Give me a NON-sports game to review
The Sports Guy

Guys,
I'm getting to the point where every game that I have played when I was younger has already been reviewed. I've spent half the morning searching through the Master Lists finding a game to review that wasn't sports (I could review like 30 more sports games, at least for now!).
So, I'm asking you: find me a non-sports game that you would like me to review. Find it for me soon too! I'm almost done with my "History of the Sports Guy" article and am going to switch to primarily feature articles for a while than reviews because I can't review any NON sports games!

How about Mig-29, love to see a review of that one. Why not keep doing sports games? Your reviews are some of the best reads here. I'd say keep them coming as you're about the only one who consistently puts out good sports coverage.

I'd love to do WSB, one problem: I don't have it, and I run a Mac emulator, which currently doesn't do CD or 32X games.
I just want to mix it up a little bit. I'm going to do another baseball one here when I get a bit after my history article (ESPN Baseball Tonight). It's just so close to being complete that I'm concerned that my amount of content will be affected. I guess I should just keep plugging away!
Maybe A LIONS VICTORY (!) today will be the boost I need, haha!
Forward down the field,
A charging team that will not yield.
And when the Blue and Silver wave,
Stand and cheer the brave.
Rah, Rah, Rah.
Go hard, win the game.
With honor you will keep your fame.
Down the field and gain,
A Lion victory!

How about "Uncharted Waters"? That should keep you busy for a while :p
Is racing sports in your eyes? If not, take on "Mario Andretti Racing", that's pretty decent.

I would suggest: Battle Frenzy or Bloodshot (same game) its a first person shooter with crappy graphics. I had some fun with it back in the days..

If you need a mac emulator that plays 32X and CD games, Kega Fusion has been working great for me. I just tested it to make sure and Space Harrier 32X was running fine. Hope this helps:D

Bart's nightmare:p
That one has already been Reviewed (http://www.sega-16.com/review_page.php?id=768&title=Simpsons:%20Bart%27s%20Nightmare)
If you want to go with Battle Frenzy/Bloodshot, you'd be welcome. It's on my current to-do-list, but I've got my hands full with other reviews at the moment, so I'd be glad if you could take it off me.

1) Does Kega Fusion accept USB controllers? I've been used to getting spoiled with a logitech for the last year or two.
2) I'm really interested in Mario Andretti Racing.
3) Battle Frenzy? Never heard of it. But I'll give it a look!

Mario Andretti Racing should be your next target for sure Alex. It's racing crappiness at its best!

I actually had some fun with it. But, yeah, the Genesis was not up to running 3D racing games, not in the least bit. They did a good job with Super Off Road and that angle, I think more people should have tried that theory of action rather than trying to force it.
You'll be surprised with my opinion on it, I think.
