Problems With CDX

So I recently got my first Sega CD game for my CDX (Jeopardy, yeah I know but it was 3 bucks and I like the game). All excited I dropped the disc in and.....wham, I looked at the load screen for 5 minutes.

It does spin an audio CD like normal, however when you put the game in it, it just stays at the load screen. I am hoping maybe it is a fuse, although I doubt it.

If I have to I will send it to Sega for repair, although thats a hefty $55, but whatever it takes to keep me gaming! =) Hopefully this is something really easy I am overlooking.

Suggestions anyone?

Well you could *cough* download *cough* a backup of a game (i'll stop with the coughing :P, and test out to see if this happens with all sega cd games. If so then it needs fixing, if not the disk is damaged. The sega cd in general can be picky. Expecially the model 2 and the fuse. I blew it and fixed it with bare wire (not recommended [was lazy and didnt want to find a replacement fuse]) and occationally i have some funky color palet swaps and corrupted sprites in vay mainly. Try another game :P, they are all over the internet if you need too, you know just to test it out.

I actually tired that, although I couldnt find the right software to burn with to test another one. PM me if you have any suggestions =)

My CDX is on its way to Sega Parts for repair....hopefully we will be reunited soon =)
