I was wondering what everyone is most excited about at the moment in relation to 16bit Sega Era.

Release of Pier Solar?
Getting an Everdrive?
The future development of new games (I hope this is a trend that will continue)?
The reinstallation of Xband and the dream idea of it maybe working on real hardware someday?

Getting an EverDrive and Sonic Megamix.

I've always liked the idea of having lots of Genesis games to play on real hardware with using just one cart. Once I save a little I'm gonna get one and a nice EverDrive Label from mrbigreddog. ;)

Also very excited Sonic Megamix is continuing. I have the latest version and love it. The gameplay and level design is excellent and Tweaker does a kick ass job with the music. (Ex. Starry Night Zone) Megamix is like the true Sonic 4 to me, but that's a whole different discussion right there. ;)

The Sonic Retro hacking contest 2010 results which should be out soon. On a somewhat related note an update for Sonic Megamix. Also, the future release of Sonic The Hedgehog Classic and the possibility of it being playable on Sega hardware.

I was wondering what everyone is most excited about at the moment in relation to 16bit Sega Era.

1. Release of Pier Solar - I've worked on this game like crazy for the last 2½ years and am really proud of my accomplishment. I swear on my PAL Primal Rage 32X copy that it will be the second best Mega Drive RPG EVAR!!!
2. The future development of new games - Yeah, this will continue without doubt. WaterMelon's Pier Solar will hopefully inspire others to release new Mega Drive games, but if it doesn't WaterMelon will anyway!
3. The reinstallation of Xband and the dream idea of it maybe working on real hardware someday - I really want to play Mega Drive games with my friends here any time, on real hardware :).
4. Star Odyssey - Will be cool to play, although there is already a Japanese version released.
5. Rick Dangerous - Pascal's project is finally on the roll again, it seems very impressive and I'm very glad that he will release it as CIB :).
6. Sonic MegaMix - Not very much, as I've had my share of Sonic this life already, but I'll try it if they release a "final" version some day (seems like they've done it already but change their mind).
7. Getting an Everdrive - Not at all, I already have two different flash carts.

I'm excited about the 3DS and the possiblity of homebrew emulating 3D Sega Master System games and Virtuaboy games!!!

'coz Phantasy Star IV is the best that's ever been, right? RIGHT? ;)



...hopefully inspire others to release new Mega Drive games, but if it doesn't WaterMelon will anyway!

I am currently excited about the Atari 2600 on its way in the mail right now, has all the paddles, sticks, and the trackball. Suppose to have about 20 games too.

Following this I am excited about finishing my SMS to Genesis Cart Adapter.

Following that I excited about finishing my second arcade cabinet build.

Uh......the 20th Anniversary of the U.S releases of "Strider" and "Thunder Force III"? Fall 1990 was a great time to be a Genesis owner. Feel sorry for the chumps for paid $80 for 20-30 minutes worth of 8 MEGA MEMORY though. :D

Christmas, because I'm getting some SMS games under the ol' tree (or in a stocking, depends).

But more importantly, I'm anxious for the gift giving aspect. I've got a killer line-up of gifts to give this year. :D

Heh, sorry... I was just being silly - seems like every other week someone posts a thread about this. I've wanted one since the 90s,can't comprehend why there isn't one yet. (But nobody post any more tech-stuff please, it is beyond me ;) )
