Hey Nomad users,

I'm interested in buying rechargable batteries to place in the 6AA battery pack that came with the nomad. I know it's designed for alkalines, but don't know much about rechargable batteries (aren't rechargables 1.2v as opposed to 1.5v alkalines?) What should I know before buying a set for the Nomad?

I used to use the game gear Ni-Cad but it's been dead for years now and won't hold a charge. For those of you who play on the go packing portable power w/o rechargable batteries in the battery pack, I'm curious how you do it and your opinions of your method.

Thanks!

Please, I'm looking for responses from those who've had success/failure with rechargeable power sources. Please don't post just to tell me I'm an idiot for trying rechargable batteries...

Get NiMD rechargabes and stay away from NiCD. Should work fine.

I use those Energizer NiMH rechargeable batteries for my GBA. I havent had a problem with them yet. Plus they have that 15 minute recharger so theres less of a wait.

yeah, that's what i had been using until the NiCd's finally gave out a few years ago. won't hold a charge anymore

besides, it's really bulky and would rather just throw batteries in the clip on case as it's smaller and more portable
