So i've decided i'm going to get some type of sega cd. Not sure if I the front loader, top loader, cdx or x'eye. Which one would you guys recommend and what would be a decent price to pay for it? Right now all I have is a genesis 2 but if i'd need to buy a cheap genesis 1 for one of these it's no big deal.

Well, my suggestion would either get the SegaCD 2 or shoot for an X'Eye, maybe. I think a decent price for something like an X'Eye would be $80-100 depending on condition and what's included with it. Well, that's just my thoughts. I already got myself a CDX but I would love to have gotten the X'Eye also.

Just wondering do all of these systems support a/v cables?

yes.
Genny 2 - you have one so you should know what to look for.
Model 1 you can find them on ebay. the genesis 1 uses the Model-6601 A/V cables.
The X'eye has regular RCA ports right on the back.Tha jap model also have a S-Video too. In Japan it was called the "wondermega". Here is Sega-16's own review of it! (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Xeye%20History.htm)

Oh yeah, if you want a Model 1 Sega CD (which I prefer) I have a 32X/Genny 1/Sega CD combo for sale! Go to the Sonic Bazaar

I have an X'Eye myself. It's a nice little system.

I still recommend the original Model 1. I think the model 1 combo of both look the best together. Get either that or the cd-x (its a cute lil sob lol). If we are going by all versions, the best to me is my precious Wondermega. I personally despise the second version of the Wondermega, the Wondermega 2 (know here as the X'Eye. The review for it here improperly labeled it). Yup....that's my view :)
