Released under the Tengen label (an Atari subsidary), Klax ranks among Tetris and Columns as one of the classics of the genre. How well does the Genesis port compare to the arcade hit? Read our review (http://www.sega-16.com/2006/07/klax/) and find out!

Klax is one seriously awesome game. The only thing I didn't like about the Genesis port was that it didn't have that chick's voice saying "____ wave!" at the beginning of each wave.

Just a little nit-pick, the arcade release of Klax was in 1989, not 1990.

I could never get into Klax, whether it was the Tengen version, the Namco version for the Mega Drive, the TG-16 version, the Lynx version or the NES version.

You're right, I just looked it up and it was 1989. My bad, it should be fixed.

I couldn't get into Klax because it wasn't until I was 16 when I could start playing puzzle games. I was, oh...5 when this came out?

One of many puzzle games I love. I enjoy the goofy sound effects, especially the ones for when you miss a block. I originally played this on Arcade Party Pak, for PSone. The artwork is really unique, too.
