Problem with 32x Mk 2 review

Well, I'msitting here, killing time at work writing a review, and I can't seem to get out of the pessimistic rut i have for this game.

I mean, its a fun game and all, but there are so many quirks, and bugs, and lost potential that overall it feels like i'm ripping the game to shreds for what it could have been, rather than what it is.

Try to go along the lines of what the hardware should have done. Be sure to state anything positive the game may have, but you have every right to nail it for something that wasn't corrected from versions on lesser hardware (and that came out first).

Discussing the bad points is cool, so long as it's in context with what the hardware was capable of and the developers had time and resources to do. A balance is necessary, so you don't come across as just lashing out.

You'll find that when you weigh its faults with its strengths, a potentially negative review tends to end up fairly balanced, and something you initially thought deserved a "3" may end up with a "5" or even a "6."

Nah, the game will rate higher than that, the problem is, that even though the game is at least a 7, because its so fun, the slopiness leaves a lot of negativity in the over text of the description.

I mean, they use guy voices when girls die in the fatalities.. thats pretty sloppy.

I never played it but I was told it was almost arcade port perfect. I must have been misinformed.

Its nto perfect. Its damn good, but its the little things that catch your eye. Like the one or two animations that are slightly choppy over all the rest b/c the artist skipped a frame to save space or something.

The fact that everyone screams the same (women lik men) when you do Scorpion's Toasty fatality.

It plays well, but the little quirks made it pretty clear they didnt' try very hard.

Is the 32X version better than the Genesis version? Does the Genesis version have female voices where the 32X ver doesn't?

What is the best version of MK(any) on all the Genesis/32X/SCD hardware?
