Hi,
I just read the metal head review and I just had few questions to Cory.
Did u really finished the game?
Because, I have to admit that the game becomes more and more exiting after level 3-1...
Various missions (shooting, taking photos, destroying some specific targets...), mad 3D effects (a train, sewers, elevators, big planes).
Any body finished too? :D The last level is absolutely mad :D Super Hammer required :D
I just think the gameplay is a bit bad and drawing distance horrible (why they did not use flat filling for far polygons and textured when close?!?!)
My fav souvenirs are:
-The airplanes dropping bombs in the orange city
-The sonic in the night
-The train :)
-Last level :D
Another question, are u sure its Bizarre Creations who did the game?
Damn, i would be soo happy if someone rewritten the gameplay/3d engine :D
Share your feelings about this game, please :D

I wasn't huge on the game in the past, but now I want to rebuy it.

Yes, I did beat it. I think I was a little too judgemental of the game, but I feel that it could have been far better then what we got. I agree that it does become a little playable after 3-1, but at that point, it's too late.

I like Metal Head as well. :( I agree, the missions are pretty diverse from the standard "kill everything and find the exit" missions mech/action games usually have. I haven't played it in years, but I thought the graphics were great. Then again, I once thought Road Rash was great, and now the framerate kills me, so who knows. :)

I enjoyed this game for a while, but then I got to a very small level with three supermechs - two of them are relatively easy to kill, but the third is super fast and never let me get a bead on him.
HELP!!!
And I'll ask again - can anyone get the level select cheat code to work?

Nah, i never got the cheat to work :/
The three mechs is last level if i member...
The last mech makes the collums going up/down around the level and u need to block him and give tons of hammer shot on his face... This is the only technique I found to kill him (rockets don't do anything on this mech anyway) ;D

Wow sounds like an interesting game. I decided to buy it complete on ebay for a cheap price. I'm sure this'll be an "interesting" experience...

This game was a real surprise. I would never have thought the 32X could handle such textured polygons. I just played it for a few minutes though, so I can say nothing about the gameplay.

Chronologically, this was the last 32X game I ever got when I was a kid before it died, and I remember loving it. This and Star Wars Arcade kept me warm many a long night back then.

I still can't beat Star Wars Arcade.

Hahahahaha. I finally got this game in the mail today. OMFG! It's terrible. It reminds of the Saturn game Virtual Hydlide except actually playable. The premise was interesting but the entire game is just bad. The graphics are horrible with horrible draw distance. The animated photos are hilarious as is the digitized voice acting. The music is terrible as well.
I got up to 3-1 before turning it off. I couldn't take it anymore. I also got a headache from the terrible graphics. Wow they're so smudgy and everything. It was indeed an interesting experience. If they made the shooting similar to that of Shadow Squadron, then I might've actually finished this game because I don't know what the hell is going on. The enemy is shooting rockets at me that fly past me yet it acts as it hits me and I get damaged. I strafe out of the way yet I still get hit. In Shadow Squadron, I knew who and what was attacking me. Here its little red dots flying around from who knows where. Ah... haha...

I still can't beat Star Wars Arcade.
I almost did, quite a few times, and then my cartridge kinda ate itself alive.

Are you sure it didn't self-destruct when it hurled itself across the room when the player got PWND near the end?

Sounds pretty good, although the on-site review is pretty much on the bad side.
But hey, full 3D of course. That is awesome for a add-on in a non-3D year.
