View Full Version : No nutcracker for Johnny Cage?

Hey folks, I was just playing Mortal Kombat and I realized that Johnny Cage doesn't have his nutcracker move. It was block + low punch in all the other versions of MK1 and MK2. Did they remove it or did they change the combination for it or something?

I just checked around a bit, and I couldn't find Cage's ballfondle on any Sega CD Mortal Kombat move list. Seems it's just not available in that version. Strange.

HOLY SHIT I FOUND IT!
I was just playing through it again and I hit down high kick by accident and he did the nutcracker!!! This is amazing!!!
I don't know why they changed it from block + low punch to down + high kick...
3 button controller? Maybe Block/low punch does something?
Either that or it's more Arcade correct, I think the Sega CD version was the most faithful.

Wasn't it just the Genesis game with loading times?

No. It was boosted up quite a bit...

Cool, the mega cd version had movies didnt it.I like eternal champions cd almost too much what a great game.Mortal combat on genesis was quit fast,on snes it looked beer but was very very slow, almost every snes fighting game had missing sprites or was slow, dunno why it had more fighting games.
