Sorry for making a whole topic for this, but I don't know where I'd put it. Is that a good price with box and manual?
That might be a bit expensive, but if it's complete and in good condition I'f buy it. The game is great.

I only paid five dollars for mine(complete) at some M&P game store. Where are you thinking of buying it from?

Ebay. I've never seen a copy, complete or otherwise, at any store I've been to that carried Genesis games. The $15 is after shipping, by the way.

Its the best part of wonderboy. Great graphics, fantastic Music (i like it even better than the PC Engine CD Music), and backup battery for saving.

Well, it's a good game overall but not without flaws.. Don't go into it thinking it's gonna top WB3, cause it won't. At least not gameplay-wise. I just beat it today, so now I can safely say it's slightly worse than both the prequel and the sequel (jap only). I typed down some good & bad points for future reference that I'm posting in case you're interested.
(+)
- cute, colorful, and nostalgic graphics with interesting boss designs.
- Music is well composed and nostalgic in the right places.
- The magic is actually useful this time, and enemies have different immunities/resistances to figure out.
- You can equip a spear to sacrifice some defense for longer reach.
- Multiple cities with habitants of various races.
- Cute familiars.
- Less long, flat surfaces in the level design than in the other games. Better dungeon designs than the prequel overall.
- Nice amount of characters to meet.
(-)
- Control is lacking. Shion moves slowly (better boots help, but not soon enough) and you can't really attack up- or downwards except with the spear, if you do a weak spin attack.
- The game starts out pretty slow and dull overall.
- Too short, too easy (if you grind for equipment, but if you don't you'll have to beat ordinary enemies 10+ times before they go down), and probably the smallest monster world in the series.
- You can only transform into a pygmy version of Shion, and your stats drop way down when you do it, plus you can't change equipment.
- There's not much equipment to buy, and you'll have to grind for some of it.
- The story is the lamest ever.
- Steep difficulty curve towards the end, especially the last 2 bosses where you'll pretty much rely on potions and spells to succeed, rather than good gaming.
- Shield spell is useless.
- The familiars are weak overall, and one of them actually makes the game harder for you.
- Towards the end the money starts rolling in extremely fast, but you don't really have any use for it.
- Music repeats a couple of times, but not like in MW4.
- Only 1 Savefile.

I think I used the money to buy a charm stone to get another heart (very useful).

Sure, but you could've found the heart through exploring (if you get all 14 you can't buy an extra heart), and it's not that hard to find a charm stone either :) It's faster than collecting 500k.
Anyone know what happens if you blow it at the Sphinx quiz? I only got 4/5 right, but he let me through anyway.. I wanted a fight!

That little reaper looking guy who joins you in the ice area. It actually got me killed once.
