I guess there is now some confusion about my name!
My last name does not start with a J. My last name is Steyer, which starts with an S but the reason I call my self David J. online is because is because my dad, my mom's stepdad (who I am named after) is named also David, and a good family friend is David. And the only difference between my dad's name is the middle name. So people ask "David J. or David R.?"
So it is kind of a nickname for me, and it's better than David S. IMO. Or David J. Steyer.
In fact, my High School diploma says David J. Steyer. I could have had my middle name spelt out, but nah.
