Anyone ever sent their stuff out for repair? If so how long did it take? Sega has had my stuff for a little over a week, maybe 10 or 11 days. Just curious.

I'd definitely give them a little more time than that. After 2 weeks or so from the time you sent it in I'd shoot them an e-mail asking for the current status, along with your order # or any of that stuff.

Unless you're sending out something rare, like a CDX (which I wouldn't recommend letting out of your sight, anyway), I don't see why anyone would ship off a Genesis for repair. They're so cheap, why don't you just buy a new one? I've amassed three Model 1s and two Model 2s for a few bucks each over the years.

I remember when the PS2 "disc read error" thing popped up worldwide and people were sending their PS2's to Sony. They would have to wait a month to get it back. So yea, give it some time...

I once had a sega cd in for repairs at a video game shop. A month went by and they didnt even look at it. I ended up taking it home and fixing it myself. I am sure what you paid in shipping and the actual repairs at sega-parts you could pay for another cdx on ebay or something :P. Anyways I hope you get it back soon!
