This pirated UK based system plays all regions of games...but cannot use the 32X...but wow...what a weird clone!

Hmph. Interesting - never heard of this variation before. I assume it's pretty rare.

Sure is ugly, but kind of interesting. Also it seems to be incompatible with the Mega CD as well. And no RGB output means not even a consideration for me. I like how they said it was a "Sonic compatible Mega Drive clone".

no sega cd that makes it as useful as a genesis 3

Is the Genesis 3 "sonic compatible", too? Wow I've gotta get one.

Curious. I like the idea of the built-in region switch, but the whole "extra game on the bottom!" thing is a bit...pointless. I mean, seriously. How often do you hear "Oh noes! I want to play a different game but I'm too lazy to take this one out and put another game in!"
What I'd like to see is a Genesis with a built-in region switch and overclocking...and compatible with everything. Maybe with some wireless controllers, Messiah style.
For those who don't know...Messiah is a company that makes this nifty NES clone with wireless controllers.

Messiah was going to make some wireless Genesis controllers, but I dunno what happened. I saw them listed on their site ages ago, but all refrences have vanished.
It would be sweet, but in the mean time, I am happy with the Remote Arcade System. :)

That said, I miss Bad Influence. I miss pre-release versions of games being officially reviewed XD

The greatest possible Mega Drive clone has this: region switches and cartridge slot that takes both Asian and Western carts, overclock switches, Mega CD and 32X built in that plays games from all regions, PBC cartridge slot and card slot, that plays games from all regions. The sound is in stereo with headphone jack, output is RGB-compatible and it doesn't have a copyright message at the beginning when you start a game. *drools*

...and, just to make it complete, a Laserdisc-drive and five controller-ports.
About the Generation NEX: Too bad it doesn´t work good. But hey, it really looks cool.
Oh, and here is a very positive review of the console....http://gear.ign.com/articles/677/677770p1.html

Well, nevermind then. I had no idea it sucked so much. The wireless controllers are still cool, though.

Don't forget the subsonic transmitter that fries the internal electronics of every Nintendo product in the house. :D

Oh, I don't need that. I've never had any "Nintendo products" in my house... ;)

There are at least three threads that deal with the Scorpion and its features
but I decided to post in this one since it's the only one with the proper thread title.
The other threads can be found here (http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2035&highlight=scorpion) and here (http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3610&highlight=scorpion) and contain a few bits of info that might be of interest to you.

Apparently there even is a clone of that machine, called the AITO:

Why not make it thin and portable with a nice built-in screen and VGA out capability. Make every cart, CD and 32X game built-in TecToy style. Add in the every other console and arcade game from the same era and you have a computer laptop. ;)

I recived a Aito today, from Uruguay... the system is not in working condition, and has a crack in the top cover (possibly from shipping)... I have no idea who sent it (other than the name on the package)... that guy wrote my last name wrong... whoever you are, identify yourself :)
EDIT: That Aito I got is the SAME as on the pics few posts above !!!! Proceeding to the click the links...
EDIT2: Yep, same Aito, and from z_killemall, who is from Uruguay, Montevideo.

Well, I'm the one who sent the clone. I bought it some months ago with 15 other clones for 10 dollars. Last month a member from another board bought it to me, and he asked me to send it to TmEE saying that maybe he could fix it. I knew it was broken because of the two blown capacitors, but I didn't have any time to replace them and see if it had any other trouble...
BTW, the clone didn't have any kind of cracks when I sent it, it probably got damaged in some point while being shipped
I know I have some more pics that I took before sending it, I'll upload them as soon as I find them (my HDD is a huge mess :P )

I bought it and asked z_killemall to send it to you. You wanted a Scorpion, and this is a Scorpion... Well, kinda... It's an AITO ^ ^
You can keep it as a gift for repairing/modding my Wondermega, X'eye and the other stuff I've sent you.
Maybe you can use it for repair or for spare parts: You'll never know when someone comes across a 'real' Scorpion - and from what I understand they're using the exact same hardware... ?!
You gotta promise me though, that if you got it to work, you'll record some Streets of Rage / Golden Axe tracks for me with that unit ;)

Hey, that would be sweet. More sexy AITO pics :D
Things are not too good with that Aito... there's a great chance its dead as exploded caps never mean anything nice
Scorpion and Aito are exact same things inside, I have a friend in Italy who has a Scorpion (and he does not want to sell/trade it :( )
