Craigslist find, is this a good price?

I've never seen a commodore 64, let alone one complete with everything in the box.

speaking from an uneducated stand point I would say the chances of finding one in that nice of condition are pretty slim to none. If you can afford it I would say go for it!

After that, you'll need to find a 1541 drive and probably want to build a parallel-1541 cable so you can write disk images from the PC ... and that's assuming you can find double-density 5.25" disks anywhere. If you want to get into C64 as something to tinker with, you'd be better off getting one cheaper w/o the box and all and use the extra money towards some sort of storage and accessories.

Edit: But from a purely collecting standpoint, that's probably an alright deal.

I don't think that's a good price at all, unless the price of C64 stuff has gone up recently. It isn't a ripoff or anything, but it certainly isn't any kind of deal.
