Incase you dont know or havent noticed my sig, my CDX refuses to play a Sega CD game.

Heres the topic:

http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1593

However it will play an audio CD. For some reason it wont spin the CD game.

But this leads me to wonder.....will it play a burned game? I havent had any luck finding the correct software to do so. I always get halfway through with no success.

I am not trying to "rip off sega" or anything like that. I sent my CDX for repair and they told me theres nothing they can do, as they no longer have any parts for it. So they said they might have opened my box, saw it was a CDX and shipped it right back. I am still waiting to recieve it (they say I should have it any day).

I just want to enjoy my CDX to its full poetntial. So If someone would like to help me out, who has had success with burning games, it would be very helpful, just shoot me a PM.

If this topic is in poor taste, or aganist Sega 16 policy, please by all means delete it. After buying my CDX off ebay and finding out it didnt work and then finding out I cant even repair it, I am a little frustrated, as I was really looking foward to enjoying some classic games.

Also, if anyone has successfully repaired a CDX, please let me know, I'll try anything!

Sorry, but then again they are very quiet about discontinuing support for systems and not updating their site. Have you tried Oldschoolgamer?

I'll probably call them once I get the system back, to see how much they charge, and how long they keep the system....they are in Canada right?

Theres still hope that they've got a new one laying around and its on its way to me......hey that one guy got a new one in march after all! =)

Yes they are in Canada, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I've heard nothing but praise, and I have considered them a few times for repairs and upgrades.

I live right near the border, but that's still too far away from him. :(
