Hey what's up all - just got back from a HUGE garage sale haul... more on that in a different post.

Picked up a SegaCD finally - but there's no power adaptor! I have a copied manual for the segacd, and the requirements say:
Custom AC Adaptor (DC9V 1.2A)
Electric Consumption: Approx 18w max
Current Consumption: 600mA (during CD revolution)

I found a power brick in my room with the following printed on it:
Output: 9vDC, 650mA

WILL IT WORK?? Plz Help! Considering making a return trip to the garage sale and asking them to see if they left in in their basement...

brief update - I'd still like to know for the future - but I'm heading back to the garage sale to see if they have it somewhere mixed up. If not I'll just buy their Genesis model 1 for 5 bux, simply for the plug. :)

Is it a Sega CD 1 or 2? The Genesis 1 will work for the Sega CD 1, but the output wattage is still different. It may or may not do damage over the long term. I think the Sega CD 1 AC adaptor has 35w output and the Genesis 1 is 17w (numbers are approximate).

went back to the yard sale and picked up their genesis 1 adaptor and it works fine. I'll double-check the wattages when I get home momentarily...
As well as post pics of the massive haul. :)

You know... I ought to check to see if the AC adaptor that came with my Sega CD Model 1 was the right voltage. I use a Model 1 adaptor, but I had to HELP the guy to find it so yeh I am in the dark there.
