Hi everybody, I'm new to the forums so let me start off. I have been a Genesis fan since I was about 5 years old (then 1994), it was the console that really got me into gaming (My brother had a NES, but Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. can only go for so long). When I was 7, my Dad came home in the middle of the day (it was summer) and surprised me with my own Genesis, he had bought it from one of his co-workers. For the next while I was totally addicted to the system, especially my favorite game of the bunch, Sonic the Hedgehog. Unfortunately, in 2002, I had to part with my Genesis after my house was robbed and the thief took my N64, GBC, and my 2-week old Gamecube, I ended up selling my Sega in order to replace my consoles and officially move on to the next generation of gaming.

I finally got around to replacing my Genesis in January 2006; paying $30 Cdn. at a pawn shop for the console w/ hookups and controllers, as well as Mortal Kombat II and a 2nd console with no cords. This purchase re-kindled my love of the 16-bit king, and today play it as much as I can. Today I am 17 years old and I just got a job (money for games, yay!) right now my collection is quite small, but not bad for about 6 months with the machine; this is a list of my Genesis stuff as of right now:

2 Sega Genesis consoles (model 2)
1 RF switch
1 AC adapter
4 controllers (2 Activators, 2 6-button)
1 Game Genie
8 games:
Mortal Kombat II
Comix Zone
Primal Rage
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Gunstar Heroes
Dynamite Headdy
Vectorman

As far as expanding my collection, I plan to buy a few more games as soon as my paycheque arrives and I am trying to convince my friend to give me his 32x since he never uses, if not I'll go to eBay for one as well as a Sega CD.

Those are eight pretty good games. Good luck expanding your collection and I hope your friend sells you the 32X and Sega CD - he should not allow such consoles to gather dust.

You're missing Sonic 2.

But anyway, welcome and good luck expanding your collection! Might I also recommend the fantastic Ecco games?

Sounds like a good sort 'o Pop. Greetings, O Fellow Gamer.

Ya, I'm still trying to talk him into giving me the 32x, it's his brother's so I may just throw an offer out there. I guess I didn't state it clearly enough but he just has a 32x, and we're not all sure if it works or not. I know a store with a Sega CD in town in original box for about 60 bucks so I may look into that.

I have a 32x system with most of the essential hookups. If you can't get it from him, I'll lend you one. ;)
