On my list to purchase are:
Sonic CD
Popful Mail
Bram Stokers Dracula
Sherlock Holmes 1 & 2 (Shut up, I am an English major and love the books)
I was wondering what you guys thought were the "must haves" for the Sega CD. I also thought this would be a good thread for people who are new to the Sega CD universe and looking for a new game to acquire. I am sure I will hear Lunar :p

Dracula is pretty common, I think there's a few copies locally, but too bad the game is garbage.

Thunderhawk.
Better than Silpheed.
Final Fight is a perfect arcade clone, very cool.

I think it's funny so many people recommend Batman Returns for the Sega CD when those same people usually agree that the only thing it's got going for it are those driving stages.

What's funny about that? It's true! Plus it has great music.

I think even the developers knew the action-levels suck, thatīs why you can choose to play only the driving levels.

Ecco the Dolphin. the differences between the cartridge version and the CD version are subtle: the soundtrack is even more haunting than before, and the sea creatures are all animated slightly better.
Keio's Flying Squadron: Insane 'what-the-hell-I'm-a-bunny-girl-riding-a-dragon-shooting-raccoons' antics, and the music is fantastic. It reminded me of the inside of the Tomato Convenience Store in Shenmue, for some reason.

Joe, Shining Force CD is not just a decent one. It is a necessity of life. You however, wouldn't like it as it is a strategy RPG.

Probably not as much as you, but I still wouldn't mind owning it.

Hey,
I can't start a new thread yet for some reason.
I'm wondering, is there a list anywhere of sega CD games and what regions they were released in??
