I can remember when I was a kid, my parents bought me a demo disk of PC games from the dollar store. Unfortunately I no longer have the disk and cannot look at the names for refrance. The two games I enjoyed most were ones that I have short, yet vivid memories of. If anyone knows what they might be, replies are gretly appreciated. Thanks!

Game #1
You're a lone lion trying to survive or find your pride or... something. You must keep away from enemy lions or they're sure to kill you. You cannot hunt without your pack, so when you're on your own you have to scavange for food. This was a very enjoyable game, yet the demo disk screwed up our computer, and I couldn't even complete the demo.

Game #2
You're an astronaut with weapons travelling to the moon, and from there, other planets. I think the base was on the moon, but I'm not 100% sure. It may have been Earth. It's a first person game, you get to drive around in the buggy and explore the moon. I can't remember how to get to the next level, but when there, it's a large grassy planet and you have to fight large ant-like creatures.

I remembered that lion game from somewhere. I did a search on google for "lion game for dos" and found it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_%28video_game%29
It was made (published) by Sanctuary Woods. The same people who published the Journeyman games. I remember now a video demo was included on the Journeyman 2 disc.

I don't know about that space game though. I hope you find it. It sounds cool as fuck.

That's the one, thanks a bunch! :D This'll be hard to find for sale... Only one person on Ebay has anything related to the game, and it's just the manual.

Old DOS games are a pain to track down but a lot of them are freeware now.

I had a lot of demo discs when I was little and the second game sounds really familiar but I can't find the name either.

You might be able to figure out the space game by elimination using this wiki list of "First Person Shooters"

An idea of what year would be a great start!

They really are a pain. Hahah, what luck. :p Wonder if by any chance it is the same game...

The year was somewhere in between the mid 90's and the very early 2000's. I just looked at all the games in that list that date between 1995 and 2001... and damn, it's not on the list at all.

Nope, not the one. That does look pretty cool, though.
