Hi Guys im new to the site wanna say hi to all . :D

I have a problem thats buggin me.

I Have a 26" Samsung LCD TV and im tryin to get the best picture results from my megadrive - i have 3 cables - scart/rgb scart and AV.

3 different types of megadrive - pal jap/ pal eng and a proper jap that modded for 50hz/60hz

thru normal scart and av the picture is off the the left slightly and u can see the border on the right. the picture is normal but looks dated.

in rgb scart the picture is centered and looks really crisp but i have these horiible vertical patterened lines thru it. tried everything under the sun on the tv with sharpness and colour but nothing - even went and bought 3 different cables thinkin it that. Pls Help ?????:daze:

I have exactly the same slightly off-centre SCART/black 1cm-ish right border problem with my old 15" CRT TV, so I'd guess it's not your equipment at fault. I think that's the best you're going to get, running a 1989 console on a 2006 TV. :(

Must be a PAL thing. RGB SCART transcoded into YUV component video is perfectly centered on my TV.

Just tried it thru my sony 15inch rgb crt tv and its perfect.
I think its cus its tryin to stretch the image and because its tryin to transform an analogue signal onto a digital TV.

Actually, I only get the problem SegaSonicRetroLover describes - off-centre SCART input - when I switch into NTSC mode. 50Hz display looks fine (saving the usual borders), but 60Hz mode squares off the image and pushes it to the right slightly. How strange.
