I am not a big fan of beer. It's OK once in awhile. if you want a fat gut, then beer is for you.

Beerīs pretty popular around here; I guess Iīm about the only German in history who doesnīt like it though.
Anyway, German beer is supposed to be one of the best since weīve got hundreds of different breweries and are proud to have our (roughly translated) "rule of purity".
Itīs a law from the Middle Age that says exactly what ingredients are allowed in beer. That means itīs not full of chemistry like, say, in China.

Eh, I'm under drinking age. But what little beer I have had, I haven't cared for. I'm not really an alchohol person, save for the occassional bit of wine. For one, I value consciousness too much to get drunk, and for another, I really don't like the taste of it.

I'm underage still, but I do enjoy a good brew now and then, Pilsner and Alexander Keith's I found I liked the most of the kinds I've had

Not a fan of beer. I prefer to keep myself in control of my own actions and richer for it too. Oh, and I value my pride and liver.

Some people say I'm a bit of a kill-joy, but what do they know? :p I chose not to drink it and it's a choice I hope people will respect.

Loser :P

I kid! I kid cause I love!

Anyway, I'm not a beer fan, but I guess i'd have one or two if nothing else is around, and I have a sudden need for alcohol (which never happens).

I'll have a beer here and there, and very rarely a hard alcholic drink.

I am underage, but if it's like one beer or two like at home or something then they don't mind.

Absolutely, Stella Artois. Nothing like eight pints of that stuff, falling out the back of a taxi & throwing up everywhere.

:ok: Beer! :ok:

The overall favourite would be Becks. A nice balanced flavour with enough character to distinguish it from the samey popular stuff, while still being available just about everywhere. Grolsch I'll have in a pinch, mostly because it's one of the few import beers that the nearby Cold Beer & Wine carries near my place, and one shouldn't have to completely compromise ones taste in beer for some good ol' after hours drinking. Sleeman makes some good beer, the Cream Ale in particular... that beer has a certain sentimental value as it was my introduction to drunkeness.

I like beer. Beer = good.

The best pairing with beer? Not chicken wings, not peanuts, not snacks.. cirtus fruit. Sounds maybe a little unusual, but honestly, a beer accompanied by grapefruit is the most delicious brew around. A few drinks into even a cold beer and the aftertaste lingers indefinitely, thus reducing the enjoyment of each additional gulp. Eating a slice of grapefruit after every one or two drinks cleanses your beer-beaten tastebuds with a citrus blast, making every sip o' beer as refreshing as the first.

Mmmm, beer...
My tastes depend on the food being eaten with it. Heavy foods demand a good stout or porter (Guinness, Black Butte Porter, Mactarnahans Cream Porter...). Greasy foods demand a pilsner or lager, or a light pale ale (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Mirror Pond, Kirin Ichiban, Fat Tire, Alaskan Amber...)
Too many good ones to mention! O_O
Actually, the only bad beer I've had was a can of Bud (there was nothing else for sale! I didn't buy it! I didn't want it! IT'S NOT MY FAULT!! ;) )

My current faves to try out are anything by Speakeasy (http://goodbeer.com/Pages/beers.htm) - mainly because their bottles and packaging have a neat design.

edit: How could I forget North Coast Brewing (http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/)! Old Rasputin will put hair on your chest! O_O

It is 21, but a lot of people who are younger drink. I don't drink often, and I don't see that changing much when I get older -- alcohol is more of a novelty for me -- not a getaway drug or drink. Depending on how you look at it. :D

I've never understood US drink logic.

I have never taken the time to get to like beer. Much prefer cider or whisky.

Hurlimann. I think its Swiss and have had it in cans and pub. Pub is much better.
Then there's always Guinness, ah yes lots of Guinness.

I also took a liking to that stout variety original Guinness, man that is some heavy stuff.
As for the some fellow UK'ers, I much prefer bottled Stella if I have to.
How about spirits? Those ones you set on fire are always fun :D

Single malt scotch is the only way to go. Glennfiddich is complex and peaty, Dalwhinnie is smoother, but simpler (often joked as a woman's scotch). And for the life of me I can't remember the name of the 100-proof scotch my father in law brought back from europe last fall... :-p but it's POTENT. O_O
