I don't have money or a SEGA CD 1 that works (completely), but I do have a SEGA CD 1 that turns on, but the CD tray mechanism is too weak. It could be fixable, but I got a Model 2 instead so don't really care. If no one else offers anything up, and you find someone that can fix it for you, let me know.

If someone is interested in fixing it, let me know too.
