Back in the day, the majority of Koei's games were on both Genesis and SNES. The general impression that I get is that Koei's games were better on SNES. But is that true for every single game? Some specific information would be greatly appreciated. I am not concerned with their Japan-only games unless there happens to be one that is in English for some reason. Sadly their few Mega CD releases stayed in Japan.

List:

Aerobiz
Aerobiz Supersonic
Gemfire
Genghis Khan II
Liberty or Death
Nobunaga's Ambition*
Operation Europe
P.T.O.: Pacific Theater of Operations
Romance of the Three Kingdoms II (also on Amiga)
Romance of the Three Kingdoms III
Uncharted Waters
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons

* I'm not sure what's up with Nobunaga's Ambition. Wikipedia seems to imply that the US releases by that name for Genesis and SNES are two different games in the series in Japan. GameFAQs and MobyGames contradict this, so I assume Wikipedia is just wrong.

The SNES releases generally look more colourful, whereas the speed advantage of the Genesis processor isn't utilized in such games.
So I'd say the SNES wins.
As for specific information? No idea, it's not exactly my favourite genre.

But there may be differences that aren't hardware related. I don't know that there are, I'm just saying there could be.

Operation Europe is so damn good game! But there's not much difference between the versions.

Pretty much this, I've played both Uncharted Waters games on both systems,
and.. Genesis seems like the exact same game except with less colors and less impressive music.

Almost like they downported from Snes to Genesis.
