View Full Version : Pics of my new arcade! (56k warning)

My room has become a veritable arcade, now that I found a cabinet at the dump and my friend got another from his work and gave it to me, all within the span of a month! The one I found at the dump used to be Tournament Arkanoid, but it wasnt working of course, so we replaced the monitor with a 21" and the trackball with a 2player Xarcade, and soon Im going to replace the marquee. I've got the newest version of Mame32 on there with 837 games and counting.
The other cabinet is Gravitar, apparently a vector game from the '80s. The sound works but video doesn't. If I cant find a way to fix it I'm going to just replace everything with a computer. In the mean time as I don't have alot of money, I'm going to see if I can hook 2 monitors into one computer and get another Xarcade to use with 4 player games. Pics:

That's awesome, dude. Too bad Gravitar doesn't work, though. That's one of my favorites.

^ Arcade Gravitar is a pretty sweet game, but I think overall I actually prefer the Atari 2600 port. But jeez, Arkanoid and Gravitar.. that's a stellar find. Too bad both are a little fubar'd. Hopefully you can get Gravitar up and running again, and at least you've breathed new life into the dead shell of Arkanoid. Thumbs up, Genesisdoes!

me too, if not maybe hook it up to arkanoids computer for some 4 player action. I think it should be possible to hook two monitors up to the same computer, displaying the same image. Or a TV with S-video or something. I don't have a ton of money right now but I'm pretty sure there was still money in Gravitar, lol some quarters dropped out when we moved it into my room.
