Your games ARE CDs.

I think he means his Saturn thinks they are CD - Audio, which means the Saturn does not recognize the CD.

Does the Saturn spin the disc (look through the little window) and can your Saturn play regular CD audio ok?

It might just need a lens cleaning. Buy a lens cleaner if you don't have one already, and do a quick run. It might also be something else, if you've pu a modchip in it... But you probably would've mentioned that.

The title really does not explain it all. But I'd try wiping the outer rim of a LEGITIMATE Saturn game to see if that helps.

Okay. My Saturn is stock (LAWLZ). No mods or anything have been applied. My disks are in MINT condition. I used a lens cleaner, to no prevail. The disks spin... It reads audio disks perfectly. And my Saturn itself is immaculate. I have no idea why it reads the games as audio (thanks' for the comment, smart ass). So if anyone has some helpful information, I would gladly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

#1 - Has it ever worked correctly before?

#2 - I can't think of another question here but I like lists.

#3 - When you power it up, listen to the laser movement. Does it start reading the disc from the center, then the laser moves to the outside for a sec, then back to the middle to access again? That would be normal behavior. Perhaps the laser is stuck or something and can't move all the way to the outside to read the security code.

Take the cover off your Saturn, put a game on the spindle, power on and when it comes to the menu, hold the door switch (the tall metal thing on the back left of the Saturn with the thin metal running in front of it) you should see on your TV that is checking the disc, look at the gears on the right of the spinal these move the head back and forth, see if the gears move during checking and how much they move. This will let you see if the head moves properly as you just have to look at the gears.

When you opened it up did you see the gears for the heads move? If they just twitched it could be a block on the track.
