My Saturn is broke - HELP

My Saturn doesn't work anymore!

I opened it up and the CD drive doesn't spin up even when I hold the door switch all it does it says it is checking the disc and the lense moves but it does not spin, any ideas would be very helpful.

Update it works when I move the head down the track just a bit but that is not easy with the case on, did my head get out of alignment?

Further update, I have used a close pin to keep the door switch closed yet it seems to be working again and I no longer have to move the head back.

Can someone please explain what happened, why didn't it read the discs a while ago without me changing the starting position of the head and now seems to be happy?

I'm thinking of putting the cover back on but I still find it weird.
